Ms. Shon-Roy is considered one of the leading experts in electronic materials market analysis and business development. She has authored and co-authored 100’s of articles, reports and texts on semiconductor process materials markets, trends, and worldwide supply chain issues, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and featured on BBC News. She holds an M.B.A. from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a M.S.E.E. from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego.
Karey has specialized in advanced semiconductor transistor fabrication, including metrology, CMP, ALD & CVD, photolithography, and interconnect technologies for over 30 years. She was CTO of start-up NexPlanar, strategic marketing senior manager at FEI, on the Board of Directors at Nova Measuring Instruments, VP of technology at CMP pad supplier Thomas West, and CTO and VP of process technology at CMP OEM IPEC/SpeedFam-IPEC. Previously, she was manager of manufacturing planning for Motorola’s Microprocessor and Memory Technology Group. Her career began in process engineering at IBM where she managed DUV lithography technology development, and worked on interconnect integration for 4 and 16 Mb DRAMs, which were the first chips in the world to use tungsten plugs and CMP for all interconnect dielectrics. She holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Pennsylvania State University, a M.S. in analytical chemistry from Purdue University, and a B.A. in chemistry from Albion College.
Diane is VP at TECHCET. She also maintains expertise in chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) consumables and technology based on over 20 years of industry experience. Her work experience in CMP includes leadership and innovation at Rodel (now Dow) and NexPlanar (now Cabot Microelectronics), both CMP pad manufactures. She also works in senior technologies at 3M in Texas. She was a co-founder of CMP Solutions LLC, a start-up company providing technical expertise and consulting services in the CMP technology area for semiconductor manufacturing companies. She holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a B.S. in chemical engineering from Clarkson University, and 13 patents.
Jonas covers ALD and CVD precursors and related technologies. His over 20 years of work experience includes Group Leader of the Thin-Film Technologies Group at The Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS), Clean Room Operations Manager for Lund Nano Lab, and Group Leader of the ALD & High-k devices group at Fraunhofer’s Center Nanoelectronic Technologies (CNT), which included 28nm node work for GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab1. Previously, at Infineon Memory Development Centre (MDC), he developed high-k and metal nitride ALD processes, and at Qimonda, he was a materials manager focused on the ALD / CVD precursors supply-chain. He is the founder of BALD Engineering, an independent blog and networking platform for ALD. He holds a Ph.D. and a M.S. in inorganic chemistry from Uppsala University, Sweden and the Institute for Micromanufacturing, Louisiana Tech, and a B.S. in electrical and electronics engineering from Lars Kagg. He holds nine patents and 40 related scientific publications.
Kevin covers program management and business development consulting. Kevin has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with his most recent position being at SACHEM as Business Director, Electronic Materials. As Business Director, Kevin was responsible for business management and strategic marketing in the electronics industry, including IC, packaging, panel display, and printed wire board applications. Prior to SACHEM, Kevin held other positions in leadership, marketing, engineering, and R&D for companies such as ATMI (later purchased by Entegris), STEAG Electronic Systems, Tokyo Electron, Mattson Technology and SCP Global Technologies, Vista Chemical and Alcoa Industrial Chemicals. Kevin holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Shaun covers semiconductor packaging, metal chemicals, and high power device technologies. Shaun has over 25 years in both materials and semiconductor manufacturing and test experience. Throughout his tenure in the semi industry, he has held leadership positions in the assembly and test field supporting the top 100 Semiconductor companies worldwide in sales, product management, development, and technical programs. Shaun formed and led an R&D team focused on Memory, MEMS, Analog, and Power packaging aimed at the Automotive Semiconductor market segment as VP of Package Development and Technology Integration at Amkor Technology, Inc., which led the transition from Si to SiC packaging. Shaun has deep knowledge on key market players and different sourcing strategies and business methods in place today and is considered an automotive semiconductor and electronics expert. He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University, and received honors CORe certification from Harvard Business School in 2022.
Danny is responsible for specialty gases and chemicals, precursors, mechanical components and assemblies, and related technologies. Danny has over 33 years experience in the semiconductor and specialty gases industries. Most recently, as Director at Entegris, he was responsible for developing new applications and expanding the market for electrostatic chucks and specialty gas products. He started his career at Micron and then Motorola where he was responsible for ion implant, metallization, RTP and cleans processes for semiconductor device manufacturing. Danny has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He currently holds 3 issued patents with several others pending.
Terry covers metal chemicals and specialty wet cleans. His work experience includes being CTO, Sr. Director, Technical application expert, process manager and engineering management from companies such as Matheson, Air Products, Applied Materials, Burroughs, NCR, AMI, and National Semiconductor. He has over 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and has managed businesses from $2M to over $100M in revenues. In addition, he is experienced in material, chemical, and electrical engineering, as well as the R&D and development programs in the Chemical/OEM/IDM sectors in the microelectronic industry. He holds a M.B.A. from National University, and a B.A. in chemistry from Oregon State University.
