Lita Shon-Roy – President/CEO and Founder of TECHCET—has worked throughout the semiconductor supply chain at various levels leading strategy, business development, marketing and sales for chip designers, equipment OEMs, and electronics material suppliers for over 30 years. Her experience spans from process development of SRAMs to business development of gases & precursors. She developed new business opportunities for companies such as RASIRC/Matheson Gases, Air Products & Chemicals, and IPEC/Speedfam, and managed marketing and sales in companies such as Air Products/Schumacher, Brooktree/Rockwell, and Hughes Aircraft. Ms. Shon-Roy is considered one of the leading experts in electronic materials market research analysis and business development. She has authored and co-authored 100’s of articles, reports and texts on semiconductor process materials markets, trends, and worldwide supply chain issues. She holds an M.B.A. from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a M.S.E.E. focused on Solid State Physics from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego.

Karey Holland, Ph.D. –  Chief Strategist and Co-Founder of TECHCET —has specialized in advanced semiconductor transistor fabrication, including metrology, CMP, ALD & CVD, photolithography, and interconnect technologies for over 30 years. She was CTO of start-up NexPlanar, strategic marketing senior manager at FEI, on the Board of Directors at Nova Measuring Instruments, VP of technology at CMP pad supplier Thomas West, and CTO and VP of process technology at CMP OEM IPEC/SpeedFam-IPEC. Previously, she was manager of manufacturing planning for Motorola’s Microprocessor and Memory Technology Group. Her career began in process engineering at IBM where she managed DUV lithography technology development, and worked on interconnect integration for 4 and 16 Mb DRAMs, which were the first chips in the world to use tungsten plugs and CMP for all interconnect dielectrics. She holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Pennsylvania State University, a M.S. in analytical chemistry from Purdue University, and a B.A. in chemistry from Albion College.

Diane Scott, Ph.D. – is CMC Director and Director of Business Development at TECHCET. She also maintains expertise in chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) consumables and technology based on over 20 years of industry experience. Her work experience in CMP includes leadership and innovation at Rodel (now Dow) and NexPlanar (now Cabot Microelectronics), both CMP pad manufactures. She also works in senior technologies at 3M in Texas. She was a co-founder of CMP Solutions LLC, a start-up company providing technical expertise and consulting services in the CMP technology area for semiconductor manufacturing companies. She holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a B.S. in chemical engineering from Clarkson University, and 13 patents.

Dan P. Tracy, Ph.D. – is TECHCET’s Sr. Director of Market Research, with a focus on sputtering targets, deposition and packaging materials. He has over 30 years of electronics market analysis experience covering semiconductor packaging, thin films, semiconductor process equipment, and semiconductor materials. He has particular expertise in analyzing dependencies between equipment and materials, and between the front- and back-end of the semiconductor industry, including insights pertaining to LEDs, MEMS, and sensors. Prior to TECHCET he led the Industry Research & Statistics group at SEMI as Sr. Director and worked for Rose Associates covering electronic materials as a Sr. Analyst. Additionally, Dan has a background in packaging engineering from National Semiconductor He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

He has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, holding management roles in sales, business development and marketing. His areas of expertise cover process equipment with Tokyo Electron and Novellus (Lam Research) and process materials including silicon wafers. He also has experience with wet process, deposition and etch process chemicals with Greene Tweed, SunEdison Semiconductor and ATMI (Entegris). Ralph holds a B.S. in electrical engineering Technology from Texas A&M University and is a Patent Agent registered with United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Bruce Lipisko – Director of Special Projects & Sr. Market Analyst of TECHCET – covers program management and business development consulting. He has extensive semiconductor industry experience in product management, business development and operations management for electronics materials and equipment product lines. He has held multiple leadership positions at companies, including RASIRC/Matheson, Arch Chemicals/Olin, and General Chemicals, as well as start-ups such as OnWafer (KLA-Tencor). He has successfully developed and executed M&A strategies, including due diligence, headed-up product management and business development efforts, and managed chemical & equipment manufacturing operations. These efforts have led to both turn arounds of struggling businesses as well as rapid, profitable growth for early stage companies. A published author, he also holds multiple domestic and international patents. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.B.A. from Penn State, and an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.

Jonas Sundqvist, Ph.D. – Sr. Technology Analyst of TECHCET— covers ALD and CVD precursors and related technologies, and is the co-chair of the Critical Materials Council (CMC) Conference. His over 20 years of work experience includes Group Leader of the Thin-Film Technologies Group at The Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS) and of the High-k devices group at Fraunhofer’s Center Nanoelectronic Technologies (CNT), which included 28nm node work for GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab1. At Infineon Memory Development Centre (MDC) he developed high-k and metal nitride ALD processes, and at Qimonda he was a materials manager focused on the ALD / CVD precursors supply-chain. He is the founder of BALD Engineering, an independent blog and networking platform for ALD. He holds a Ph.D. and a M.S. in inorganic chemistry from Uppsala University, Sweden, a B.S. in electrical and electronics engineering from Lars Kagg, and nine patents.

Kuang-Han Ke – Sr. Technology Analyst of TECHCET — covers quartz and silicon component materials. He has over 20 years of semiconductor industry experience, including systems engineering design of four generations of plasma etch chambers for Applied Materials, leading to an installed base of nearly 10,000 chambers worth more than US$3.5 billion. He troubleshot etch, CVD, PVD, and CMP process equipment, was in charge of the semiconductor equipment and precision machine tools industries in the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan, and was an expert adviser for the Taiwan “Industry 4.0/Productivity 4.0” national initiative. At SEMI he oversaw industry technology, standards, and market statistics in Taiwan. He taught semiconductor equipment courses at Yuan-Zi University. He has started 5 companies, mentored startup companies, and participated in 2 IPOs in Taiwan. He holds a M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and more than 10 patents.

Steve Holland, Ph.D. – Senior Advisor and Founder of TECHCET Group— has worked on advanced IC interconnect technology for over 30 years. He worked at IBM from 1981 through 1993, where he was one of the prime innovators on the first tungsten interconnect technology development used for the 4 Mb DRAMs. He also worked in manufacturing introduction of 1 Mb DRAM, CMOS device design, and advanced chip packaging, and managed the first low-k dielectric project at SEMATECH. He co-authored multiple patents and papers on advanced interconnect technology. More recently, he has been involved in market and product development for consumables, advanced metallurgies, and advanced dielectrics at both AlliedSignal and Arch Chemicals. Currently, he is focused on chemical analysis of nanotechnology materials as well as failure analysis. He holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Purdue University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Occidental College, and multiple patents.
